Kerry Sapsed, Thyme for Tea, Heathcote.

I first met Kerry Sapsed of Thyme for Tea, Heathcote, at the Tallarook Farmers Market when I was working for Mitchell Shire Council. Always a sucker for chai, I purchased some leaves, had a brief chat and felt inspired by Kerry’s creativity and determination. We then met a few months later at the Heathcote Night CWA (Country Womens Association). Since then, we have become friends - if not over tea, then a glass of (She Oak Hill) wine - thanks Jane Leckie!

Kerry’s micro enterprise, Thyme for Tea is as the name suggests - loose leaf organic blends that are blended by hand, using local ingredients. In recent weeks, Kerry has taken the next steps in her business - bottling ready to drink iced tea!

I can’t wait to see how Thyme for tea evolves, and I feel especially proud that a boutique tea company is growing in my home town.
